What's this? Something new, a browntone palm tree.

It has been pretty quiet here since our company left. The most excitement we have had was the Mens Style Show, which was held at our clubhouse. Bear in mind, we knew most of these guys on any given day, but put them in drag and we didn't know most of them. Some of them made pretty good looking women. Some of the ladies attending the show may have been a little jealous of the outfits. As they showed off their fasions, the pretty barmaids (actually women)passed out glasses of beer. What a lot of laughs and fun. Following the fasion show was dance for all, with "Dinky" playing the music and singing. He did a really nice job singing and playing everything from Elvis to Johnny Cash to Irish music. A great night out for us senior citizens.

As for the palm tree...it just isn't right to have brown palm trees. However, that's what has happened to most of our palms in the park. We have had such a cold winter, the coldest in 40 years, that all the plants and bushes are brown. We have been assured they will come back. I am going to start trimming the plants this weekend so they won't look quite so bad.
