A cute couple

The mama lion just lazin' in the sun.

This turtle was kinda neat. Notice the hippo in the background.

I loved these two. They look so cuddly.

I just had to add these Lemurs to my blog. They were so cute I could have brought them home with me.

Time is getting closer.

The flowers were so pretty, everywhere.

The Crown Colony House Restaurant.

Fred and I with our new friend.

Tom and Kathy with a friendly being.

We have a little more than a week before we leave for Michigan. The time has gone really fast this winter, and now it's drawing to an end. It comes with a little sadness, however, I have mixed emotions. Now that we have a date set to leave I am getting anxious to see the little girls, yeah, the big kids too, but the little ones are top on my list.

We have been trying to get some last minute day trips in before we leave. Last week we went to John's Pass, near Clearwater. It was a really neat place with a boardwalk along the canal with shops and restaurants. We had our lunch at Scully's and enjoyed a delicious chicken sandwich.

Today we went to Busch Gardens. We bought a 2 year pass so we can go anytime we want since it is less than 1/2 hour from here. It comes with free parking so if we get bored next time we are down here we can zip over and have lunch and take in the sights. We went with Tom & Kathy today and it was unbelievable how empty the place was. With Spring Break over the walkways and rides were very empty. We had a super time and a delicious dinner at the Crown Colony House Restaurant. We also rode the Congo River Rapids and got soaked! It was just nice walking around and not fighting the crowds. The end of April is certainly the time to go.

Tomorrow is golf day, my last until next October.

A quick update

OK, I give up! I have been trying to upload a video of our zip lining in Roatan, but unfortunately it won't work. It may by too big, but at least I tried. I have written this posting once and sometime during the process of trying to get the stupid video posted, it deleted my whole post. There is no way I can remember what I typed so I will abbreviate.

Our cruise was great fun, thanks to you, Shannan. You did a super job of planning everything. We played, ate, snorkeled, ate, swam with the dolphins, ate, went on a zip line over the jungles of Roatan, ate and had a lot of fun at the piano bar with Milborne. Did I mention we ate a lot? Oh yeah, we did walk "for the cause" on Lido deck along with probably 100 other cruisers. I'll never forget our 2:30 am pizza run.

We are within three weeks before we head back to Michigan. About this time I really start to get anxious to head back. We are now trying to take a day road trip now and then. We have been to Siesta Key and Venice only to find it was still Spring break and the beaches were extremely crowded. We also went back to Belleview to the big flea market. a spur of the minute decision, but we had a good time.

Now we just relax until it gets about a week before we leave, then the rush is on. That's when we clean the house and pack things to bring back with us. We already have a tote started with a few things that we don't want to forget. It is such a worry that we will forget something that we may need this summer. We are planning on coming back in August, so if we forgot anything important we can get it then. So for now, it's getting ready for the big rush.
