The "after" pictures

Here the after pictures of the small bathroom. I sure like the color, it is sooo much better than the print that was in there.

I set up the little fiber optic tree tonight and set it on a bookcase on the front porch. It worked for about 1/2 hour, then the color rotating wheel quit. I will try to fix it tomorrow, otherwise, it's out of here. Hopefully, we can start putting up the Christmas decorations up outside tomorrow.

Ok, so it's been a while since I posted. Things are just so happening around here. Ha! Not really. Time does seem to go very quickly, seems like we are always on the go.

We have had our new vinyl flooring laid in the master bathroom, and what a difference. I can't believe we waited that long to make the decision to get rid of the carpet. I have also painted the small bathroom, didn't really take that long, just a pain. Not much room to move around, and seems like I had a ceiling fan on my head all the time. When I wasn't trying to balance on the edge of the tub, I was trying to dodge the fan. It looks so much better. This next week we are getting a new door installed and get rid of the ugly pocket door that's in there now.

I am enjoying golf, even though I am not very good, but sure have fun. The ladies are great to play with. My goal is to break 100, but that probably won't happen. I will try hard though.

We had our picture taken for a directory here, which I understand is a first for the park. Abby was even in it. It's not what you would call a perfect photo, but, hey, we will be in it.

Tonight is the Christmas dinner already. I can't believe how quickly Christmas arrived. Last night the chorus put on a very nice Christmas concert. They put a lot of time and work into it. It was well recieved.

I will attempt to attach a couple of pictures with this post. Shannan, help me out if you will?????

Florida Home At Last

We arrived safe and sound Friday night, Nov.6. Abby was glad to be somewhere that didn't move.

The place looked pretty good, a little overgrown out front, but other than that, it was fine. Just the usual cleaning but that's it.
Before I trimmed things were a little "bushy".

After a haircut, everything looked better.

We have been trying to catch up with things. Fred was sick when we first arrived and it took him almost 2 weeks to get back to himself. Now he is doing some projects for both himself and me. Seems like I can always find something for him to do. I have been painting the small bathroom, which I think is done except for some touch-up along the ceiling. We also had new flooring put in the master bathroom. Finally got rid of the carpet in there. Carpet does not belong in a bathroom! We are off to find a new phone today, our answering machine quite working so if you have left a message, I apologize for not returning your call. Will send more pictures later.
This is what I want to do, just laze.

Trying again.

Let's see if I can get this thing going again. Hopefully, I will learn how to post some pictures and keep it going. I would like to have it up and running so when we get back to our home in Florida I can keep you all abreast of what's happening with us old folks.

We have 6 weeks before we leave and aleady putting things together. Seems like there is always something we wish we would have had with us, but it always gets forgotten. Our goal is to have everything we need and go back and forth with only an overnight bag. Ahhhhh, someday!

Bare with me, I am going to try to add some pictures, totally unrelated ones, but I want to see if I can do it correctly.

Until I really have something to say, I will say: "Ta Ta For Now".

Update From Bimini

No, I have not dropped off the face of this earth, so pick yourself up off the floor. It seems we have been on the go so much, I just haven't taken the time to bring this thing up to date. Yes, the bathroom is finished and I have adjusted to the new color. Now all we need is new flooring to replace the carpet that is in there now. However, we have decided that can wait until next winter. Now I am getting the urge to paint the small bathroom, again to cover the ugly paper that is in there. I have a thing about flowered walls. We have a color picked out, but that's as far as we have gotten. It will have to wait until we get back from vacation.
The other main project was the valances for our front porch. I gave in to Fred's wish of having John Deere somewhere in the house. I bought 12 yards of material, that's 9 windows and 1 door. It took a while, but it makes the porch look so much better. Now it almost looks like a "regular" room. This is were I do my scrapbooking and a good share of the yakking on the phone

Our weather has been a bit chilly, for this part of the country. I am not complaining. When I see what is happening back home I am very thankful we are down here. At least we have sun mostly every day. It may be chilly in the morning but warms up later in the day. There were hard freeze warnings for last night, but it never happened. I set a dish of water out by the front porch just to see if it would freeze....nope. When I took Abby for her walk this morning, I had to find Fred's heavier jacket and my gloves. At least the wind wasn't blowing and there was no snow.

We are preparing for our vacation. We leave Saturday for some warmer weather, I hope. Let's just hope it is smooth sailing. We have 8 glorious days afloat and not having to worry "what's for dinner". That's the best part. Before we get home we will spend 3 nights in Key West. Love that town, so carefree and relaxing. Hope to lay out in the sun part of the time.

We are also meeting new people all the time. At least we can call more by name this year than last year. I thing playing shuffleboard and me golfing has helped. We also went to see "Elvis" at the sock hop last weekend. It shows that even though most of the people have snow on the roof, they still can swing with the music. (some better than others) It was a fun time anyway.
