Update From Bimini

No, I have not dropped off the face of this earth, so pick yourself up off the floor. It seems we have been on the go so much, I just haven't taken the time to bring this thing up to date. Yes, the bathroom is finished and I have adjusted to the new color. Now all we need is new flooring to replace the carpet that is in there now. However, we have decided that can wait until next winter. Now I am getting the urge to paint the small bathroom, again to cover the ugly paper that is in there. I have a thing about flowered walls. We have a color picked out, but that's as far as we have gotten. It will have to wait until we get back from vacation.
The other main project was the valances for our front porch. I gave in to Fred's wish of having John Deere somewhere in the house. I bought 12 yards of material, that's 9 windows and 1 door. It took a while, but it makes the porch look so much better. Now it almost looks like a "regular" room. This is were I do my scrapbooking and a good share of the yakking on the phone

Our weather has been a bit chilly, for this part of the country. I am not complaining. When I see what is happening back home I am very thankful we are down here. At least we have sun mostly every day. It may be chilly in the morning but warms up later in the day. There were hard freeze warnings for last night, but it never happened. I set a dish of water out by the front porch just to see if it would freeze....nope. When I took Abby for her walk this morning, I had to find Fred's heavier jacket and my gloves. At least the wind wasn't blowing and there was no snow.

We are preparing for our vacation. We leave Saturday for some warmer weather, I hope. Let's just hope it is smooth sailing. We have 8 glorious days afloat and not having to worry "what's for dinner". That's the best part. Before we get home we will spend 3 nights in Key West. Love that town, so carefree and relaxing. Hope to lay out in the sun part of the time.

We are also meeting new people all the time. At least we can call more by name this year than last year. I thing playing shuffleboard and me golfing has helped. We also went to see "Elvis" at the sock hop last weekend. It shows that even though most of the people have snow on the roof, they still can swing with the music. (some better than others) It was a fun time anyway.
